>>Q & A<<

My friend Grace commented on how much she loved a pair of shoes she found on another blog (traitor) earlier this morning. Right away my gut told me its Givenchy. The impossibly high arch and the intricate cutout...oh yes its Givenchy as predicted!

But I have to warn you I bought a pair of Givenchy shoes a couple of months ago and they are impossible to walk in or stand in. I wear 4" heels to work...so I'm no amateur. These hurt as soon as you put them on...your ankles lock in places nature did not intend.

They are very sexy though...Be brave go buy a pair of Givenchy Birdcage Booties

>>The Wedge<<

I know that wedges are out and its all about the tapered heels but since most labels are starting their sales this week I started to weaken for these Opening Ceremony Ankle Platform Wedge boots. They look super comfy and pretty tough. I especially like the ribbed stretch top and the buckle detail, it adds a little softness to this block, I mean shoes. Should I? I could use an extra 3.5". I'm in the market for a good pair of black laceup ankle boots. Any suggestions?

>>Fingerless leather gloves<<

I'm not sure if I should invest in fingerless leather gloves. I've always picked them up randomly but never quite made it to the register with them. This past summer at an OAK sample sale I almost bought a pair of white leather fingerless gloves but my husband looked at me with his judgemental eye...where will you go with them? I guess I understand since they won't be warm and its not something I can wear for years to come...I can wear it on my way to work so that my subway mates will get a good look. I could also wear them while working...although I would look ridiculous.

With all that said. I'm getting one (not sure which one)! And I will stud them myself. I also plan to buy long leather gloves and stud them completely overboard for this winter. My fingers will freeze but oh the beauty!

>>Desire: Eairth/3.1 Phillip Lim/Rag & Bone<<

Eairth is a label I discovered in one of my favorite shop in NYC called Oak. I found this kimono style dress on the sale section! Its hand dyed with all natural pigment and its organic cotton hence the name. I think it would be beautiful as a jacket too for spring.

I pretty much love everything from Phillip Lim as you probably guessed from my previous postings. This sweater/jacket missed my radar when previewing the current collection that's in stores. Its LAMB fur so its all good. The back is what is most interesting.

I started loving everything with black ribbons as either the belt or a necktie. This blouse hits the spot. Lovely.

>>Ann Demeulemeester<<

Ann Demeulemesster s/09: Lots of monochromanic draped dresses that reminds me of saris. I do have a wish to go to India soon and get a custom made Sari...they always have such beautiful colorful prints. I love the black dress with a hint of sequence intertwined within.

>>My Version of a Power Suit<<

Power Suit Outfit: Rodan vs. Griffith Button Down shirt, DIY necktie, Elizabeth and James Pants, Hermes Collier de Chien Cuff, Lanvin Handbag and Loeffler Randall shoes

>>La Garçonne Lookbook<<

Gorgeous gorgeous! One of my favorite online shops. Effortless.

>>Brunch Outfit<<

I wish my photos were better but for now its all I have! This dress is so simple and comfortable but has great details. It has just enough gold sparkle on the thread itself that it shimmers the right amount for daytime (some metallic knits just look disco cheap!).

Brunch outfit: Phillip Lim Knitted gold Dress (S/07?),
Hermes collier de chien cuff, Loeffler Randall cutout booties, Anna Kula Hat, and Foot traffic tights.

>>Jeweled Leather<<

Jeweled leather driving gloves...I really want these.

>>Inspirational Design<<

I love the S/09 Limi Feu's monochrome oversized outfits. Not to mention that the headphones are all made out of hair!
In the first outfit, the subtle detail of the pockets on the pants makes this whole look. It's so tough I'm really drawn to it...On the second picture the suspenders have a horizontal lock in the front, but I think you have to be pretty flat chested to pull it off right (good thing). I especially like the black peasant dress like jumpsuit that are tucked into the boots. From what I know Limi Feu's deisgns only sell in Japan. Boo hoo.

>>Another day at the office outfit<<

This is my favorite dress, its big and therefore very comfy. I especially like the button running down the front. I wear it all year long.
Office outfit: Pulver Dress, Club Monaco leather jacket, loeffler Randall cutout booties, DIY necklace, Lanvin Handbag, CC Sky Bracelet.

>>3.1 Phillip Lim<<

My favorite designer of all time is Phillip Lim, he truly understands modern femininity. To me femininity isn't about wearing hoes and a pencil skirts, its about soft color palettes, flowy materials and accenting with unique accessories. His clothes are very special to me.

I wind up putting on Phillip Lim for the most memorable moments of my life so far. I wore the iconic rosette tees to be photographed in our first family portrait, my wedding dress from the spring 2008 collection (pre-ordered from the trunk show and the process spoiled me for life), a classic white backless cocktail dress to the friends and family reception and an endless variety of tops on my honeymoon in South Africa. It's my kind of romance.

From his spring 2009 collection I already found pieces that are going on my wish list; the white jumper, black zipper ruffle tank and maybe for a special occasion the layered sequence top. I also started paying more attention to his men's collection as well. If I buy a XS I can manage. Also the Christian Louboutin ruffled flats and pumps. Beautifully matched.

>>Rainy Day Outfit<<

This is my rainy day outfit going to the office. My outfits usually start from wanting to wear a specific piece. In this case its my new H&M rain booties (that my husband swear are hideous). I normally don't go to H&M due to the club like music blasting non-stop, the crowds and the unorganized piles of clothes I would go through to find my size. But once in a while usually after a guilty overpriced purchase its about the only place I feel like I'm actually doing a good deed. And I think my booties are a diamond in the rough.

Rainy Day Outfit: Uniqlo sweater, Rodan vs. Griffith tank, vintage silver beaded shawl, Urban Outfitter jeans, H&M rain booties, Hermes Medor Watch, CC sky Bracelet, Louise Vuitton wedding band, and DIY spike studded bag.

Even though I hate being photographed I will post more pictures of my outfits through out the week.
